Understanding Infertifility for Men - Part 2

After posting about the infertility post, I got a tiny bit of backlash for the post, so I felt it was right to address it in this post. First and foremost - I am not a doctor, nor do I claim to be. Second - yes I don’t have a fucking clue what you’ve been through in life. You could have had multiple miscarriages and I still don’t understand it, I really don’t claim to understand what you’re going through.

Men Do Better

This is a PSA. Men, DO FUCKING BETTER. As a new father, husband for several years etc… I was pretty shocked at what I saw in the hospital. The hospital I went to was in a pretty backwards city, where the men just seemed to get away with the absolute BARE MINIMUM. Let me give you some examples: When the midwife/nurse came over to have a chat with me and my wife about going home, she quipped that I’m gonna have to pitch in to do the cleaning.

Jumping Ship at the Right Time

The gut is an interesting thing. It’s one of those organs that seems to have a good sense of when you’re in danger, and whether you should run or stay etc. In the past, I’ve not trusted my gut as much - mostly because I needed the money more than putting my mental health as a priority. Recently, I’ve been running with my gut as the driver for many decisions. I think it’s because I’m in a much better place, and there’s a much calmer environment now.

Understanding Women's Infertility for Men

DisclaimerNot a medical professional, not trained, just an observant guy that happened to have insight. Take this with a grain of salt. There’ll be a lot of women who are probably sick and tired of men telling women how to feel, etc. I totally get that, and it’s not fair that women really do seem to get the raw end of everything going. We’ll dive deeper into that topic on another blog, but for this one, I wanted to talk about women’s infertility.

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Wireless Review

Easter bank holiday rolled around, and I got a lovely email saying that one of my lust items went was discounted. This wasn’t just a discount like £10-50, this was a hefty discount. One of the main reasons I haven’t pulled the trigger and bought a Zeppelin was because of the eyewatering price (£700). This thing is in the same price category as the Naim MuSo QB, and with rave reviews for that as well, it was very hard to justify it.

New Perspective on Failure

A new perspective on getting past failureI’ve struggled with a fear of failure for a very long time, but I’ve also learned to be a lot more loving and forgiving of myself in life. Realistically, being that hard on yourself is just making things worse for you in the long run. Sometimes there’s things that are a bit unavoidable, and truth be told it sucks when you get it wrong, but don’t take it personally.
